Commentary
And when it was established by the verse of the two horizons and the verse of the two groups, with an establishment that there is no doubt in it, the essence of the encompassing power by choice, he said, magnifying with the tool of distance and the letter of plurality: ﴿That is you﴾ [meaning]: O those addressed! - the One, the All-Prevailing, the Great in status, who knows by what he mentioned of His actions that no one shares with Him ﴿Allah﴾ meaning: the Greatest King, known to everyone, distinguished from everything by the actions that no one shares with Him. Therefore, he said: ﴿Your Lord﴾ meaning: the One who nurtures you and does good to you by His power and choice, the One who is unique in your lordship, there is no Lord for you other than Him. And when it was in the context of gratitude for the blessings to indicate the Hour which they deny and dispute about its matter, he preceded the creation over the declaration of His oneness and said: ﴿Creator of all things﴾ meaning: by what has been established from the completeness of His power in the creation of the horizons, moving and the two groups, succeeding and persistent. And there is no barrier for Him from resurrecting the two weights because “there is no deity except Allah.” Rather, that was necessary in wisdom, because those who have been bestowed upon have divided into grateful and ungrateful. Thus, it was necessary in wisdom to establish the Hour to separate between them, and this came in the order of the beginning of the Surah. For the Exalted is looking at the completeness of power in creation and annihilation, and the All-Knowing is the One who is unique in the completeness of essence. For the encompassing of knowledge necessitates all completeness, and power may not necessitate knowledge as in the case of mute animals. This is contrary to what has passed in the verse of the cattle, for the context there is for denying polytheism and affirming oneness by what it indicated from the generality of creation according to what has also passed in its beginning.
And when these reports produced - each of which is established for what preceded it as if it were the cause for it - the absolute oneness that necessitates all completeness, it caused his saying, denying and reproaching: ﴿So how﴾ meaning: from what aspect ﴿are you turned away﴾ meaning: you turn away from the faces of the evidences to their backs, so you worship idols and dispute about the Hour, which necessitating the attack on it is an attack on the wisdom, and the attack on it is an attack on the divinity, and the attack on it is an attack on the existence of this existence and a denial of it. And that leads to the downfall of the one who speaks it in every regard due to his denial in the observable (p-104) tangible, and in the rational that is ingrained in all souls.
