Commentary

And when it became clear what the Qur'an has of comprehensive clarification according to its revelation as a response to what is presented to them of doubts, it indicated by its removal of every excuse regarding what He, glorified and exalted is He, described Himself with of sanctity, honor, and knowledge, a clarification with no obscurity in any part of it. It produced His saying as a condemnation of those who wish to nullify and conceal it: ﴿No one argues﴾ meaning disputes and debates and wants to twist matters to his own desire ﴿in the verses﴾. And it revealed the place of the implicit to magnify the verses, saying: ﴿Allah﴾ meaning in nullifying the lights of the greatest angel encompassing the attributes of perfection, indicating that to Him is the return, by causing himself to be deceived by doubt in that due to a resemblance that inclines with it, or otherwise by the doubt cast upon him, or in something other than that of what He, exalted is He, informed about ﴿except those who disbelieved﴾ meaning they covered the sights of their minds and the lights of their insights with a veil upon themselves and a deception upon others.

And when it was established that the gathering is inevitable, and that Allah, exalted is He, is capable of all capability (p-8) because He has no partner and is encompassing all attributes of perfection, it resulted from that His saying: ﴿So let not their movement﴾ meaning their movement with trades and profits and armies and troops and the world turning towards them ﴿in the land﴾. For the action of the heart cannot occur except by force and dominance, so you might think that by our delaying them they are upon truth, or that someone protects them against us. Thus, their transformation must be soon upon us, humbled and subdued, and their delay is only so that the decree may reach its appointed time.
