Then he clarified it by his saying: ﴿Degrees﴾; and he magnified it by his saying: ﴿from Him﴾; and it is the degree of migration; and the degree of being established in jihad after migration; and the degree of directly engaging in jihad by action.

And since a person is not free from error; even if he strives in action; he said: ﴿and forgiveness﴾; meaning: the erasure of their sins; such that they are not mentioned; and they are not recompensed for them; ﴿and mercy﴾; meaning: honor; and elevation; ﴿and Allah﴾; meaning: the One who encompasses the most beautiful names; and the highest attributes; ﴿is Forgiving, Merciful﴾; eternally; and forever; nothing new occurs to Him that did not exist.
