Commentary
Then he explained that by his saying - indicating the necessity of the oneness of Allah and justice -: ﴿Allah﴾; meaning: the One who has no equal; ﴿there is no deity except Him﴾; meaning: and He has commanded you to be just in intercession; and peace; so if you do not do it - due to the shortcomings you have (p-353) which include the lack of oneness - He is the doer of it; and there is no doubt, so beware of Him; for He is One; so there is no opponent to Him in anything of the reckoning; nor otherwise; and nothing is hidden from Him; for the judgment of the innermost is indeed for Him (glorified and exalted is He); as for you, you have only been tasked with the apparent.
And when it became clear that there is no opponent to Him, His saying produced - clarifying the time of the greatest reckoning -: ﴿He will surely gather you﴾; and He emphasized it with the letter 'lam'; and the 'noon'; indicating the intensity of the oath; to deny the deniers of it; and when the gradualness of death is something; then something; He expressed it with the preposition of purpose; and said: ﴿until the Day of Resurrection﴾; and the 'he' is for emphasis; then He confirmed it with His saying: ﴿there is no doubt in it﴾; meaning: so He will separate between you and those who informed you about them from the hypocrites; and He criticized their conditions; and clarified their situations; so He will reward each one according to what they deserve.
And when the estimation was: 'So who is greater than Allah in power?'; He added to it His saying: ﴿And who is more truthful than Allah﴾; meaning: the One who has all perfection; so no trace of deficiency reaches Him; ﴿in His words﴾; and He has promised that; for it is the essence of wisdom; and He swore by it; so it must occur;
