Commentary
And when the pure hearts, those of high aspirations, were imbued with the love of attaining this victory, it was followed by a warning to deter them from those benefits entirely. So he said: ﴿And whoever disobeys Allah﴾; meaning: He who has all the greatness; ﴿and His Messenger﴾; meaning: in that and other matters; ﴿and transgresses His limits﴾; meaning: those which He has set in these rulings and others. And the sinner is singled out for the fire in His saying: ﴿He will admit him to a fire, abiding therein﴾; because the singularity necessitates the isolation from punishment and humiliation. And when their preventing of women and children from inheritance was a belittlement of them, he concluded the verse with His saying: ﴿And for him is a humiliating punishment﴾.
