Commentary
And when he mentioned what is for the disbelievers; as a warning; he followed it with what is for others; as an encouragement; and he said: ﴿And those who have believed﴾; meaning: with a promise that there is no breaking of it; ﴿Gardens beneath which rivers flow﴾ (p-409) and he brought closer and divided with his saying: ﴿from beneath it rivers flow﴾; meaning: for the irrigation of its land; so wherever a river flows from it, it flows.
And when the discomfort from the absolute homeland - even if due to a need that arises - is severe; how about this?! He said: ﴿Abiding therein forever﴾; and when eternity is used to refer to mere long staying; it indicates that there is no end to it; with his saying: ﴿forever﴾; then he confirmed that with the fact that the reality matches it; and it matches the reality; and he said: ﴿The promise of Allah is true﴾; meaning: it matches the reality; because He is the Greatest King; and His promise has manifested in that; and who is more deserving of a promise than Allah; and He informed of it with a truthful report; that matches the reality; ﴿And who is more truthful than Allah﴾; meaning: the One characterized by the attributes of perfection; ﴿in statement﴾; and he emphasized this more here; because it is in contrast to the promise of Satan; and the promise of Satan aligns with the desires that souls are inclined to; so one does not turn away from it except with great difficulty.
