And when the decree is decisive: "So do not associate [anything]"; He built upon it His saying: "Rather, Allah"; meaning: the One characterized by all attributes of perfection alone; because of this great prohibition; and the terrible threat; no matter what act of worship occurs from you; "So worship"; meaning: sincerely for Him the worship; so He omitted the condition; and compensated for it by bringing forward the object; and since His worship cannot occur except as gratitude for what He has of abundant blessings; both past and future; and gratitude to the Bestower is obligatory; He alerted to this by His saying: "And be among the grateful"; meaning: those deeply rooted in this description; because He made you the best of creation.
