Commentary
And when the two realms are the treasures of all that exists; and no one can act in the treasures except the one with the keys; he said - indicating his agency -: ﴿To Him﴾; meaning: alone; ﴿are the keys﴾; one of them is "miklād"; like "mifṭāḥ"; and "miqlīd"; like "qindīl"; and they are the keys; and the strong collective matters; and it is a metaphor for the intensity of control over ﴿the heavens﴾; meaning: all of their quantities; ﴿and the earth﴾; meaning: their kind; their treasures and matters; and their keys that encompass everything in them; so it is not possible for there to be anything in them; nor for anyone to act in anything from them; nor in them; except by His permission; so there is no wonder in saving those who are God-fearing.
And when the estimation is: "So those who believed in Allah and accepted His signs; they are the successful ones"; he added to it his saying - which was necessitated by the context of the warning -: ﴿And those who disbelieved﴾; meaning: they wore what became clear to them of the signs; and denied that all matters are in His hands; ﴿by the signs of Allah﴾; meaning: that there is no apparent besides it; for indeed, there is in existence only His essence - glorified is He - and it is an unseen that cannot be comprehended by the created; and His actions; and they are the most apparent of things; and His attributes; and they are unseen from the perspective of witnessing from another perspective; ﴿Those﴾; the distant and detested; ﴿they are﴾ specifically; ﴿the losers﴾; for they have lost their souls; and everything that is connected to them in terms of benefit; because their disbelief is the ugliest of disbeliefs; in that it is related to the most apparent of things.
