Tafsir for verse: 39:32
32So, who is more unjust than him who forges a lie against Allah and rejects the truth when it reached him? Is it not that in Jahannam (Hell) there is an abode for the disbelievers?

Commentary

And when He informed - glorified and exalted is He - that they made for Allah equals; and He made it known that they are liars in that; disbelievers; concealing the truth; and that He does not guide one who is a lying disbeliever; and He informed that there must be a dispute for the caller against them before Him - glorified and exalted is He -; because it is not permissible in wisdom to leave them as mere strays; as is established in reason; and is present in the original natures; and is known by observation from their conditions; so He bestows favor upon the oppressed; and takes vengeance upon the oppressor; and the liar is, in the least of matters, an oppressor; and more oppressive than him is the liar against the great ones; and the most oppressive of the oppressors is the liar against Allah; He said (the Exalted) - attributing to what has passed -: ﴿So who is more oppressive﴾; meaning: among them - thus was the original - but He said: ﴿than he who lied﴾; generalizing; and linking it to the description; so he disbelieved by concealing the established truth; and manifesting what has no reality.

And when lying is of great ugliness in itself; how about when it is as has passed against the great ones?! How about when they are kings?! How about when it is against the King of kings?! He directed the saying to the manifestation of the Greatest Name; as a reminder of that; so He said: ﴿against Allah﴾; meaning: the One whose majesty is His cloak; and greatness is His garment; so whoever contends with Him over one of them, He will break him; so he claimed in his lying that he has - glorified is He - equals; and partners; and children.

And when the occurrence of the reckoning on the Day of Resurrection is a truth; because it is an inevitable occurrence; an occurrence that corresponds to the news about it; because it is known that it is not fitting in wisdom other than it; because it is known that the least of creation does not accept to leave his servants aimlessly; so how about the Creator? So the news about it is true; due to the occurrence of the certain knowledge that it corresponds to that reality; He said: ﴿And he denied﴾; meaning: he brought about the denial for everyone who informed him; ﴿of the truth﴾; meaning: the informing that Allah is One; and that He resurrects the creatures for recompense; corresponding (to) each of them to the reality; for what has indicated that from the observed signs; ﴿when it came to him﴾; meaning: without any pause; nor looking for evidence; as is the habit of the obstinate; those are the disbelievers; for them is what harms them from the punishment of Hell; that is the recompense of the wrongdoers.

And when it has been established as clearly as the sun that it is not permissible in the mind of a rational person to leave creation in vain; the Day of Judgment is certainly known. The meaning of this interrogative denial is the negation of its subject; thus its translation is: There is no one more deceitful than them. The custom of the language in emphasizing this negation on the form of 'Afa'al' is to affirm the meaning of 'Afa'al'; so that the meaning is that they are the most deceitful of creation. The estimation is: 'Is not this liar who denies rational; fearing that Allah, who created him, will hold him accountable? Is not Allah, who is characterized by all attributes of perfection, going to hold His servants accountable; just as He holds every one of the creatures under His control accountable? Is He not going to restrain the oppressor among them in His place of retribution; just as the least of rulers would do? Is not His place of retribution Hell; which receives those who enter it with a frown and scowl?' He coordinated this with his saying: 'Is there not in Hell'; that is: the Fire; which receives those who enter it with scowling and frowning; just as it used to receive the truth and its people; 'a dwelling'; that is: a prepared place for them to reside in; in a manner that is necessary for them? This was the original; but he said - generalizing; and justifying with the description; clarifying that lying is disbelief; that is: a concealment of the truth; and an appearance of what has no reality; and the denial of the truth likewise -: 'for the disbelievers'; that is: those who concealed their lies; and dressed them in the garments of truth; and concealed the truth which they denied; that is the recompense of the wrongdoers; because they are not among the pious; so He - glorified and exalted is He - established this premise as a proof for all those premises.
