And when he mentioned what is for those who worship the tyrant, he turned to their opposites. So that the promise may be coupled with the warning, and the completeness of encouragement and intimidation may be achieved. He said: ﴿And those who avoided﴾; meaning: they imposed upon themselves that, due to what they have in the inclination towards it from desires, along with the beautification of Satan: "The Fire is surrounded by desires." And when there is a significant place for generality, then specification, he said: ﴿the tyrant﴾; and it is everything that is worshipped besides Allah; "the tyrant" is from (p-479) "tyranny"; and it is a form of exaggeration; and in it is another exaggeration by making the essence identical to the meaning. And it indicated the opposite of those who followed it by reversing its letters. And when he mentioned avoiding it absolutely, encouraging it, he clarified the essence of what is to be avoided for its sake, along with repulsion from it by feminizing it, which was perceived by those who turn back to Allah strengthening them against it; until they became males, while they are females; the opposite of what was previously mentioned for the disbelievers in "Al-Baqarah"; so he said - replacing it in a manner of inclusion -: ﴿that they may worship it﴾.
And when he mentioned avoiding polytheism, he followed it with the commitment to monotheism; so he said: ﴿and they turned back﴾; meaning: they returned with a great return; in which they removed the disturbance and made it a single inclination with no diversion in it; ﴿to Allah﴾; meaning: the One encompassing the attributes of perfection; so there is no alternative to Him; ﴿for them is good news﴾; in this world, upon the tongues of the messengers; and at the time of death, the angels receive them; for they have gained a profit with no loss with it; because they benefited from the words of Allah; so they purified their religion for Him; so give them good news - this was the original -; but he made it manifest; generalizing and linking it with the description; so he said - attributing to their deeds, diverting the saying to speaking in the singular, honoring the recipients of good news who are described -: ﴿So give good news to My servants﴾; meaning: those who have qualified themselves by limiting their aspirations to Me; for the addition to Me;
