And when the longing for his answer occurred, he indicated it by saying: "So the truth." That is: because of your misguidance and their misguidance, I say the truth; "and the truth"; that is: nothing else ever; "I say"; that is: I do not say except the truth; for indeed, everything I have said has been established; no one has been able to refute it or diminish it. And since his response was with a delay, it might have been a reason for his hope in salvation; he cut off his hope with what he expressed in the style of emphasis; by saying - in response to an implied oath; and clarification of the truth; and in the reading of 'Asim and Hamzah, with the raising of "So the truth"; it would be that which is sworn by; that is: so the truth is my oath; and the answer is:
