Commentary

So he prostrated; that is, when the spirit was breathed into him. The angels, upon what Allah commanded them. And since attributing the news to all may be intended for most of them, he emphasized by saying: all of them, intending to raise the metaphor. And since no one, for example, can undermine that, or a few who are not considered significant due to weakness or the like, he raised that by saying: all together; with the indication that the prostration was at one time, informing of their intense submission and their good preparedness for obedience and their readiness.
