And when He informed them - glorified and exalted is He - of what He intends to do; He caused His saying: "So when I have fashioned him" to be understood; meaning: I have prepared him by completing his creation for what is intended from him in receiving the soul; and what follows from it; "and I breathed into him of My spirit"; so he became sensitive and able to breathe; He likened - glorified and exalted is He - the pouring of the soul to what is affected by the blowing of a human from the flames of fire; and other than that from movement; and settling; and increase; and decrease; and He added it - glorified and exalted is He - to him as an honor for him; (p-420) "So fall down to him"; meaning: specifically; "prostrating"; meaning: prostrate to him; as a mark of honor; in compliance with My command; prostration is the utmost of what can be from obedience; and choice; and love; so that you may be as if you have fallen without choice; so they did what He - glorified and exalted is He - commanded them without hesitation; and for this reason, He mentioned their action; with the possibility of feminine gender; so He said:
