Commentary
And when this is confirmed to exist and then cease; as is customary in the state of the world; He informed that it is not in this manner; so He said: ﴿Indeed this﴾; meaning: the one indicated by the presence of the one who does not disappear; ﴿is our provision﴾; meaning: it is the provision that is worthy of being attributed to us in the manifestation of greatness; therefore, the result was: ﴿there is no end to it﴾; meaning: no extinction; and no cessation; rather, it is like the continuously flowing water; whenever something is taken from it, it replenishes immediately; such that the taken cannot be distinguished from the existing in any way; and therein is a delight; and a comfort for the people of Paradise due to the abundance of what they have; and by witnessing what they used to believe in; and affirming it for Allah (glorified and exalted is He) from the ability to bring back at all times; as a recompense in accordance; unlike what comes to the people of the Fire.
