And when he mentioned this blessing for the people of obedience; and he presented that punishment for the people of disobedience; he said: "This"; meaning: that which is mentioned here; and that which has passed; "what"; and he built for the object - for brevity; and to affirm the necessity - his saying: "You are promised"; from "the promise"; and "the warning"; and the reading of the unseen in the past tense; and whoever addressed it turned the speech for the pleasure of addressing; to invigorate their ambitions; and to awaken their hearts; "for the Day of Judgment"; meaning: to be on that day.
