Commentary
And when eating and drinking are two invitations to women; especially with comfort; He said: ﴿And with them﴾; meaning: they have without any separation at all; And when the context of the favor implies the abundance of the one bestowing it; especially if it is from the great one; He came with the plural of the few; intending by it the multitude; because it is more famous; clearer and more elegant than 'قواصِرُ'; which is shared between the plural of 'قاصِرٌ' and 'قَوْصَرَّةٌ'; with emphasis and lightness; for the container of dates; He said: ﴿قاصِراتُ﴾; And when they were of one character in chastity; and the perfection of beauty; He unified and said: ﴿the companions﴾; meaning: their companions; for their chastity; and the companions of their husbands; for their beauty; And when the form of the plural of the few did not diminish the meaning; due to its context of praise and favor; and it was borrowed for the multitude; He came in the style of the connectors with His saying: ﴿equal in age﴾; meaning: of one age with their husbands; and it is youth; The companion is called 'تِرْبًا'; for the touch of the dust on his skin; and the skin of his companion at the same time; Al-Baghawi said: Daughters of thirty-three years; because that is more conducive to affection; for indeed, the love between peers is stronger and more stable.
