Commentary
And when the One who is unique in His blessings is the One who deserves worship, and the act of creation is among the greatest of blessings, and He has made clear that they only worshipped it because of the work they did within it; He has transformed it into what it has become in form. He said (the Most High) - clarifying that He alone is their Creator and the Creator of their actions, which they did not truly worship except for it; and that there is no place for their idols in creation; so there is no place for them in worship -: "And Allah"; meaning: while the case is that the greatest King who has no equal; "created you"; meaning: He brought you into existence in these forms; "and what you do"; meaning: and He created your actions and what you do; for He is unique in all creation, both of beings and meanings; and it is known that none is to be worshipped except for one who is like that; because it is not permissible for a rational person to give thanks for a blessing except to its Lord.
