And when they understood from him the apparent meaning of his words; and they thought about him what appeared from his condition; but they could not encompass his greatness among them except by submission; they left him; so He (the Most High) said - causing them to reflect on his words; indicating their distancing from him with the form of the verb 'taf'ul' -: ﴿So they turned away﴾; meaning: they dealt with themselves; and they tasked themselves to turn away; ﴿from him﴾; to the place of their gathering; and the establishment of their festival; and He emphasized the meaning; and stated it with His words: ﴿turning away﴾; meaning: to their temple; so the time was free for him from a watcher;
