And when he mentioned that He blessed his offspring; he informed that He continued to mention him with good among his people; so he said: ﴿And We left upon him﴾; meaning: a good praise; but he omitted the object and made it necessary; so the meaning became: We placed upon him the leaving with something that is from His greatness; and the goodness of His mention; such that His description is exalted; ﴿among those who come later﴾; meaning: all who come after his time; until the Day of Judgment.
