And when it was thought that it was due to the absence of messengers, He negated that by His saying - affirming this meaning -: 'And certainly We have sent' ; meaning: according to the greatness that we possess which necessitates bringing forth that which is without doubt from the clarification; 'warning them' ; meaning: so warn them of the punishment of Allah; and clarify for them the best clarification; and despite that, misguidance prevailed over them; and the stubbornness of the people of truth with impossibilities; until Allah destroyed them with what He has of severe power; and this is the meaning of His saying:
