Commentary
And when what was mentioned for the two groups is merely the abode, the meaning of which is what occurs at the beginning of arrival at a time of negligence; and they would be brought to the boiling water; just as camels are brought to water; and His saying, glorified and exalted is He: ﴿They will circulate between it and between a boiling water﴾ [Ar-Rahman: 44]; indicates that this is outside of it; or outside of its overwhelming state; just as the troughs are in the courtyards; outside of the places prepared for the camels; he said - clarifying that they have something more severe than that; hinting to it with a tool of delay -: ﴿Then indeed, their return﴾; meaning: after their exit from their abode of hospitality, the Zaqqum; ﴿is to the Hellfire﴾; meaning: that of intense burning; and the roaring; and the weeping; and the long, prolonged anguish; just as the party of Allah are turning from the gardens of bliss to the gardens of refuge; for example; to the gardens of Eden; to the (p-242)Firdaws; which they do not desire to turn away from; just as the people of abundance and the nobles of the people of this world transfer their guests in the continuous gardens; and the views; and they honor them in the high palaces; and the luxurious places.
