And when the one spoken of is the sincere ones; they are all the people of Paradise; or most of them; and the pronoun refers back to what preceded it exactly; and the addressees of this speaker are indeed his drink; and it is known from what has passed of the mutuality; and affection; and communication through companionship; and questioning; that they call upon their lamentation to him; and they certainly turn towards him; and what is beneficial for us is only his saying - in reproaching his enemy; and in praising himself and his ally; he did not gather the pronoun; so that it does not confuse; and imply that it is for everyone; and he repeated it for him alone; so that we may reflect upon his words; and take admonition from what he narrated to us of his condition - he said: ﴿So he saw﴾; meaning: because of what he saw for himself in that of great pleasure; towards the people of the Fire; ﴿he saw him﴾; meaning: that evil companion; ﴿in the midst of Hell﴾; meaning: in its center; and it is raging upon him with the greatest intensity; by what he used to ignite in his heart in this world from the heat; whenever he said to him that saying; and he named the center as 'the midst' due to the equality of the distance from it to the sides; like the center of a circle;
