And when the listener yearned to hear something from it that would serve as a model for the rest, he indicated that by saying - beginning -: ﴿A speaker among them said﴾; meaning: in this questioning; and there is a great difference between it and what has passed in the report of the questioning of the people of the Fire. And when he thought that he would not be saved from the evil of that companion who speaks of him; Allah saved him from it; contrary to what appeared; and that was one of the greatest blessings; he emphasized it by saying: ﴿Indeed, I had a companion﴾; meaning: a companion among the people; as if he were a clear devil.
