Commentary
And when the people of Paradise do not eat out of sustenance and need; rather, they eat for enjoyment, pleasure, and joy; because their bodies are perfected; created for eternity; they do not need to maintain health. He said: ﴿And fruits﴾; meaning: they enjoy them; for what they earned from their livelihood in this world. And when that which is the delight of the body is not praised to the utmost except with honor; which is the nourishment of the soul; He said: ﴿And they are honored﴾; He built it for the passive form indicating that the existence of their honor from everything is a necessity; there is no other option at all.
