Commentary

And when He saved them from them, He mentioned what is for them. So He said - magnifying them with the tool of distance -: "Those are"; meaning: the high in rank because they purified themselves from the impurities of desires; "for them is a known provision"; meaning: they know its unseen, its existence, its coming, its taste, its benefit, its measure, its delay, and all that can be known of its matters. And they are not like what they are upon in this abode from the impurities of dangers: "And no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow" [Luqman: 34]; because the soul is more settled with the known, and by being familiar with it, it is more capable.
