Commentary
And when there were among those addressed by this some whom Allah knew would believe; and he excluded from the 'those who taste' by his saying - encouraging them to believe; indicating that nothing would lead them to remain steadfast in what they are upon of misguidance except the deception of their hearts through showing off; and others. So it is an exclusion connected to this precise consideration -: ﴿Except for the servants of Allah﴾; he encouraged them by describing servitude, which is the most honorable of it; and he added them - as an increase in appealing - to the greatest name; which indicates all attributes of perfection; and he increased the encouragement with the description that there is no description greater than it; so he said: ﴿The sincere﴾.
