And when they reached this limit of tyranny; and the apparent falsehood; and the slander; the listener longed for their punishment; so he began to inform about that; making it clear in the style of address; signaling the end of anger; he said - in the form of emphasis; denying what they translate (p-228) of pardon; by the intercession of those whom they claimed would bring them closer; and admonishing them; and others like them in this world; regarding what they truly deny; or metaphorically -: ﴿Indeed, you﴾; meaning: O you who are addressed in a manner of belittlement; the criminals; ﴿will taste﴾; meaning: for what you used to oppress the allies of Allah; ﴿the painful punishment﴾.
