And when the matter had overwhelmed them, which necessitated their despair; and sharpened their perception and feeling; He indicated that by placing them in a state of absence that signals their distancing; by saying - disregarding what he estimates: "Indeed, they do not support one another" -: ﴿Rather, they﴾; and He increased in magnifying that time and reminding of it; so He said: ﴿Today they are submissive﴾; meaning: their submission is firmly established for them; a steadfastness that will not cease; some of them have forsaken others; creating Islam; meaning: submission; bringing forth one who seems to seek it; and magnifying his desire for it; hoping that it would be alleviated from them.
