Commentary
'And indeed, Our soldiers'; meaning: from the messengers and their followers. Since the meaning of soldiers in the language is the army and supporters, and a type of creation distinctly, he said - gathering on the meaning, without the wording, explicitly on the intended -: 'for them'; meaning: no one else; 'the dominant ones'; meaning: even if it is seen that they are defeated; for the outcome is theirs, if not in this abode; then it is in the abode of permanence. And this noble prophet has gathered both in it; and he called all of this 'a word'; for its coherence in one meaning. And it does not harm that there is a defeat in some places among some of them; nor weakness that may occur; and enough as evidence for this is the biography of the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, and the three caliphs after him - may Allah be pleased with them.
