Commentary
And when their misguidance was fully manifested, He rebuked them in another manner, turning away from their address, warning them of the impending punishment. He said: ﴿And they made﴾; meaning: some of the Arabs; opposing what has been previously stated of the evidence; ﴿between Him and the jinn﴾; meaning: the jinn; who are the worst of the groups. He feminized them, indicating their belittlement regarding this matter for which they qualified themselves. ﴿A lineage﴾; by saying: Indeed, He - glorified and exalted is He - married the daughters of the leaders of the jinn, and from them, He fathered the angels. It is known that no one marries except one who is of the same kind; thus, they distanced themselves as far as possible, for there is no counterpart to Him. And when the relative is honored and not insulted, He said - feminizing their pronoun, adding to their belittlement -: ﴿And indeed, the jinn have known﴾; meaning: absolutely; the leaders among them and the lowly ones; ﴿Indeed, they﴾; meaning: all the jinn; ﴿are to be brought﴾; meaning: to Him; by resurrection; against their will; to be treated with justice; along with the rest of the creatures; on the Day of Judgment; and the manifestation of the signs of glory, greatness, and majesty; for they are too insignificant to be claimed for that.
