Commentary

What; that is: O assembly of the Arabs who claim to have sound minds; and correct insights and understandings; what is there for you of good in this saying? Then he increased in rebuking them by saying - amazed by them -: How do you judge; that is: in all that we have asked you about; with such judgments that do not come from one who has the slightest grasp of his mind? And he expressed it by judgment due to its commonness in what is decided; so it rejects deficiency; thus the expression by it was greater in rebuking them; as they applied it to what is less than that.
