Commentary
And when He completed what He intended - glorified and exalted is He - of the affairs of the doers of good from the descendants of Ibrahim - blessings and peace be upon him - sent to his descendants; in consolation; and in preference; and He favored them because the favor upon them is a favor upon Him; and a person is closer to his son than to his relative; and they are those whom Allah manifested through them what was left upon him; from the tongue of truth in the latter ones; He followed them with the story of his nephew with the people of the land of Jordan; from other than their people; and He said - emphasizing to alert about the victory of the believers; even if they are in fewness; and in humiliation; in a state where it is not expected to be mended; and as a refutation to the Jews who deny his message; or those who doubt in it -: "And indeed, Lut"; meaning: the one who stripped himself of his familiar surroundings from his land; and his tribes; by migrating with his uncle Ibrahim - blessings and peace be upon both of them - "is certainly among the messengers."
