And when it is - glorified and exalted is He - that when He bestows something, it is known that it is great; so when He mentions the action and leaves the object, He intends its greatness and magnificence. He said: ﴿And We left upon him﴾; meaning: upon the sacrificial animal; something that is in beauty to the extent that its description is lengthy; and when it is such that it is not forgotten, He said: ﴿Among those who come after﴾; and from this leaving is what has preceded from His description with the truth of the promise; because He promised patience upon the slaughter, and He was truthful.
