And when kingship does not necessitate obedience, He, the Most High, said: ﴿And We have made them submissive to them﴾; meaning: We have facilitated their control. And if We had wished, We would have made them wild, as We made those smaller and weaker than them. So whoever is able to subdue very difficult things for others, he is capable of making things submissive to himself. Then He caused from that His saying: ﴿So from them is their riding﴾; meaning: what they ride; and it is the camels, because they are the greatest of their mounts, due to the general benefits they provide in that regard, and their abundance. And for such a reminder of the great blessing and benefit, and the independence of each of the two blessings in itself, He repeated the conjunction, and expressed it in the present tense to indicate the renewal with the renewal of slaughtering, unlike the mount, for its suitability for that is a permanent and constant fact. So He said: ﴿And from them they eat﴾.
