Commentary
And when this is the death-blowing; it causes his saying: ﴿So they will not be able to make a will﴾; meaning: that they will not be able to create a will in anything of it. And 'al-istikhdhal' and 'at-taf'il' indicate that death is not at the time of hearing the first sound; rather, it is after it; without any delay for the completion of a matter.
And when that is not a text in negating movement; he said: ﴿nor to their families﴾; meaning: in addition to others; ﴿they will return﴾; rather, each one dies in his place; where the shout surprises him; and perhaps the expression with 'to' implies that they want to return; so they take a step; or something like it. And in the hadith: "...and the Hour will surely arise while two men have spread their garment between them; and they will not trade with it; nor will they fold it...; and the Hour will surely arise while a man has raised his food to his mouth; and he will not eat it."
