Commentary

And when it was established in 'The Angels' the proof of the Prophethood of the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him; and the warning of his people against turning away from him; and that his Sender, glorified and exalted is He, is All-Seeing of His servants; Knowing what is good for them; and who among them is suitable for Prophethood; and otherwise; and the core of the root of 'Qara'a' - as has been mentioned in the Surah of 'Al-Hijr' - is gathering; with distinction; and that was the highest of the stations of those who are journeying to Allah; and it is the duty of the heart; He expressed in the oath by saying: 'By the Quran'; and described it with the attribute of the knowing heart; so He said: 'The Wise'; meaning: the one that gathers evidence for knowledge; adorned with action; and guiding to action; perfected by knowledge.
