Commentary
And when this conclusion indicates the promised day; which is the established origin; he said - warning by it; cautioning against it -: ﴿O mankind﴾; meaning: those who have the ability to move towards contemplation; and since they deny resurrection; he affirmed his saying: ﴿Indeed, the promise of Allah﴾; meaning: the one who has the attributes of perfection; and He is exalted above any blemish of deficiency; so it is not permissible for Him, in the course of customary matters; due to His absolute richness; to break the promise; ﴿It is true﴾; meaning: with all that He has promised; of resurrection; and others; and He has promised that He will return you to Him on a day when the causes will cease; and lineage and ancestry will be disregarded; to judge between you with justice; then he caused his saying to be true - in a manner of emphasis; for the sake of denial as well -: ﴿So let not the worldly life deceive you﴾; meaning: by types of deception; from amusement; and adornment; a deception that continuously renews; ﴿The worldly life﴾; for it is not fitting for one of high ambition to follow the lowly; and to be content with the transient that is inferior to the everlasting high; ﴿And let not the deceiver deceive you about Allah﴾; meaning: the one who does not break the promise, He is the Most Great and Exalted; ﴿The deceiver﴾; meaning: the one who is not believed in anything, he is the enemy, the devil; and for this reason, he began his saying - manifesting in a place of concealment; to repel by the implication of the description; before reminding of the enmity; and the bad outcome in what he calls to; affirming that the actions of those who follow him; with what he promises them - such as: Indeed, your Lord is Forbearing; no sin is too great for Him; while persisting in disobedience - are the actions of those who are bound to his approval -:
