Commentary
And when He clarified what they are in of the blessing; He clarified what is for their enemies of the punishment; an increase in their joy for what they have endured in this world; from their arrogance towards them; and their wickedness; He said: ﴿And those who disbelieved﴾; meaning: they concealed what their minds indicated of the suns of the signs; and the lights of the indications; ﴿For them is the fire of Hell﴾; meaning: for their frowning at the allies of Allah; the callers to Him; And when the nature of fire is to destroy whoever enters it quickly; He clarified that its state is not like that; an increase in their punishment; and the bad outcome for them; He said - resuming -: ﴿It will not be judged﴾; meaning: it will not be ruled; and executed; and established by a judge what ﴿is upon them﴾; meaning: by death; ﴿So they die﴾; meaning: it will cause their death from the judgment; And if you refer to what has passed in the Surah of 'Subhan' from His saying: ﴿So they will not possess the power to remove the harm from you﴾ [Al-Isra: 56]; and what will come, if Allah wills, in 'Al-Mursalat' from His saying: ﴿And they will not be permitted to excuse themselves﴾ [Al-Mursalat: 36]; you will know the secret of the necessity of the establishment here; because if it were raised, the meaning would be that their death should occur if it is judged against them; or if it is not judged; and that is impossible.
And when the hardships in this world ease; even if their duration is long; He said: ﴿And it will not be lightened for them﴾; and He emphasized the negation by saying: ﴿from its punishment﴾; meaning: Hell; And when it may be that someone might think that this punishment is specific to those who were in his time ﷺ from the disbelievers; He said: ﴿Thus﴾; meaning: like this great recompense; ﴿We reward﴾; meaning: by what we have of greatness - according to the reading of the congregation; with the 'n'; ﴿every disbeliever﴾; meaning: by him ﷺ; or by others from the prophets - peace be upon them -; even if he did not see it; because the establishment of the miracle is equal in hearing and sight; And Abu Amr built the action for the object; indicating its ease; and its facilitation; and he raised 'every'.
