Then he clarified that by saying: ﴿If you call upon them﴾; meaning: the deities besides Him; a call of worship; or of seeking help; ﴿they will not hear﴾; meaning: with the sense of hearing; at a time among the times; ﴿your call﴾; because they are lifeless; ﴿and even if they heard﴾; in the future; ﴿they would not respond to you﴾; because at that time they know that your response does not please Allah; and they are among those who refused to carry the trust; and betray in it; by acting in a way that does not please Allah - glorified and exalted is He -; or the meaning could be: even if it were assumed that they have hearing; or: even if they were listening - to include those who are worshipped among the living - there would be no necessity for hearing to entail a response; because there is no necessary connection between hearing; and speaking; with the ability to do what is intended by the listener; for indeed, animals hear; and respond; and those who respond other than them respond without having the ability to do more than what is requested of them.

And when he mentioned what is on the basis of assumption; he mentioned what the matter will become between them and Him; so he said: ﴿And on the Day of Resurrection﴾; meaning: when Allah will cause them to speak (p-30) ﴿they will deny your associating partners﴾; meaning: they will disavow it; and will distance themselves from it; and since the estimation is: He has informed you of that, the All-Aware; and they do not acknowledge that; nor do they understand it in its true understanding; and they do not act upon it; he turned the address away from them to the one who has complete understanding; and perfect obedience; so he said - connecting this to what the context has guided to its estimation -: ﴿And none will inform you﴾; meaning: with a profound and great informing; in this manner; of something among the things; ﴿like one who is All-Aware﴾; meaning: one who has profound knowledge; so it is not possible to doubt anything of what he has informed about; and as for others, they do not inform of any news except that which is directed towards them with a deficiency.
