And when He was astonished [glorified and exalted is He] at those who disbelieved in their saying, "The Hour will not come to us" [Saba: 3], which includes their denial, and He concluded with the affirmation of those who were given knowledge, indicating that the [reason for] the disbelief of the disbelievers is the ignorance caused by arrogance. He was astonished at them with another astonishment that was greater than the first due to their explicit denial [in a strange manner]. So He said: "And the disbelievers said," meaning those who confirmed His matter, blessings and peace be upon him, and united against Him, and were obstinate in their denial, to whom it is said from those who do not know the reality of his condition, admiring and repelling: "Shall we guide you?" meaning, O you who believe that there is no resurrection. And when they expressed the words in a manner of the strange [and laughable], they did not mention his name despite it being the most famous of names, rather they said: "upon a man," meaning he is neither a boy nor a woman so that you excuse him. "He will inform you," meaning he will tell you [when you wish] news that is not greater than it, with what it contains of the wonder that is beyond what we can comprehend [again for that whenever the inquirer wishes for it].

And when the intention was to mention what indicates to them the remoteness of resurrection, they presented the condition and said: "If" [meaning indeed you if] "you are torn apart," meaning you are cut and scattered after your death from everything that is destined to be torn by dust, winds, and the passage of time and the like, a great tearing, to the extent that you become dust. And that is the meaning of "every torn apart," meaning every tearing, so nothing remains of your bodies with anything, rather all became to the extent that one cannot distinguish between its dust and the dust of the earth. And the floods carried it in every direction, so it became mixed with the dust of the earth and its confusion distanced some from others. And the condition of "He will inform you" was broken due to the preposition, so He said: "Indeed, you will be in," meaning you will rise as you were before death, a rising that there is no doubt in it, and the informing of it is deserving of utmost emphasis: "a new creation." And this is a conditional factor if the circumstantial.
