Commentary
Then he clarified the reason for all of that as evidence of the truth of the oath by what the groups concluded with, from the wisdom of presenting the trust, which no one with intellect doubts, even if it is little in its correctness. And it is not permissible in wisdom to do otherwise. So he said: ﴿So that He may reward those who have believed﴾, meaning that He created the worlds only for the sake of mankind, so it is not permissible for Him to leave them without reward: ﴿and they did righteous deeds﴾, meaning in affirmation of their faith.
And when the listener turned to knowing their reward, he mentioned it to exalt its status, as a response to the question, indicating it by what shows the high rank of it by the high rank of its people: ﴿Those﴾, meaning of the high rank. ﴿For them is forgiveness﴾, meaning for their slips or mistakes, because the human being, who is built on deficiency, does not appreciate the great authority as it truly deserves. ﴿And a noble provision﴾, meaning a glorious, precious, everlasting, beneficial, delightful provision, in which there is no distress whatsoever.
