And when the punishment is something that some people may take lightly if it is temporary, even if it is severe, he said, clarifying their condition: ﴿remaining in it﴾. And when something may be referred to in a metaphorical sense due to its resemblance, and for the sake of exaggeration, [he said] affirming the intention of the truth: ﴿forever﴾. And when something may be intended and then prevented by a barrier, he said, clarifying their condition in this situation: ﴿they will not find a protector﴾ [meaning] one who will take care of a matter that concerns them through intercession or otherwise, ﴿nor a supporter﴾ who will help them.
