Commentary
And when what He, glorified and exalted is He, has affirmed for Himself of encompassing knowledge necessitates encompassing the attributes of perfection, and He has promised those who rely on Him that He will suffice them in every important matter, and He indicated that by the story of the Confederates and others, and He commanded obedience to His Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, and He advanced with the complete advice in honoring him until He concluded the matter in reverence for him. The obedience of the servant to the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, is from every aspect, so that he becomes devoid of choice with him, and thus he is a Muslim who does not carry it except for the obedience of Allah. The obedience of Allah is likewise, it is not carried except by the continuity of His remembrance. He said after affirming his marriage, blessings and peace be upon him, to Zaynab, may Allah be pleased with her, that He, glorified and exalted is He, married her to him because He decreed that there would be no paternity between him and any of the men of his nation that would necessitate the prohibition of the marriage of the child: "O you who have believed," meaning those who claim that with their tongues, "remember Allah," meaning as a confirmation of your claims of that, "which is greater than everything," "with much remembrance," meaning by establishing for Him, glorified and exalted is He, the attributes of perfection and praising Him with them with your tongues. So do not forget Him in any state, so that this may lead you to honor His Messenger, blessings and peace be upon him, with the true honor, and to believe in his perfection in every situation, and that he does not speak from desire, so that you may attain forgiveness and a great reward, as has been previously promised.
