Commentary
And likewise is His saying, exalted is He, describing those who have passed: ﴿Those who convey﴾, meaning to their nations ﴿the messages of Allah﴾, meaning the Greatest King, whether they are in marriage or otherwise, whether they are difficult or not. ﴿And they fear Him﴾, meaning they inform of everything He has informed them of, and nothing prevents them from disclosing it. He hinted after the explicit statement in His saying: ﴿And you fear the people﴾ [Al-Ahzab: 37] ﴿And they do not fear anyone﴾, whether few or many ﴿except Allah﴾, for He is the Lord of Glory and Honor.
And when the fear of the Just King is indeed from His reckoning, the meaning is: they fear His reckoning. He followed this with His saying: ﴿And sufficient is Allah﴾, meaning the One who encompasses all attributes of perfection ﴿as a Reckoner﴾, meaning He will reward everyone for what they have done and reach the utmost limit in His reckoning, and He is sufficient for whoever seeks His sufficiency against anyone who intends them with harm.
