Commentary
And when this facilitation was produced for what he ﷺ found difficult and the assurance of what he feared, he expressed that by saying, confirming a response to those who think otherwise: "What was not for the Prophet" meaning that his status with Allah is to be informed of what no one else among creation has been informed of. "Of any hardship in what He has ordained" meaning what Allah has decreed with His attributes of perfection and made obligatory for him, for there was not any hardship upon the believers in that, so how could there be for the leader of the believers? Thus, hardship has been negated from him twice, especially after a generality, honoring him and mentioning his status.
And when it is something that makes difficult matters easier to share in them, how about if the sharing is from the great ones? He said, placing the name in the position of its source: "The tradition of Allah" meaning the way of the King, who when he establishes something, perfects it with His might and wisdom, so no one can change anything of it "in those who have passed". It is as if he intended that the prophets of the Children of Israel, peace be upon them, are the primary intended ones by this, reproaching those who dress in their following. He included the preposition and said: "Before" meaning from the earlier prophets in permitting the expansion in marriage for them, which is a denial of the Jews who denied that, and a manifestation of their deception.
And when the intended meaning of the relationship is the path that was decreed and legislated, he said, informing that this marriage was something that had to occur due to His will for it in the past, so no one should object to it with a daughter of a lip, which permits what is permitted for one who objects to the commands of the King. And for the sake of the importance of this informing, he objected to it between the attribute and the attributed, and said: "And the command of Allah" meaning the decree of the greatest King in that and in everything that deserves to be commanded, guided to, and urged towards. He expressed the tradition with the command to emphasize that it must occur "decreed" and he confirmed it with his saying: "Predestined" meaning there is no contradiction in it, and it must occur at its time which He has decreed for it, and it is also supported by the saying of the adornment of the worshippers.
