Commentary
And when the human being is in need of glorifying the preference, he said: "And put your trust"; meaning, rely not on planning in your affairs, but depend in them "upon Allah"; the All-Encompassing in knowledge and power. The repetition of this [Great] name, which encompasses all meanings of the names in this context, is a matter that is not hidden, as has been indicated.
And when the estimation is: it is enough for you in all of that, he added to it his saying: "And sufficient is Allah"; meaning, the One to Whom belongs all command absolutely, "as a Trustee"; meaning, there is no one more sufficient than Him for all who have entrusted Him with their affairs. So do not turn in any of your matters to anything [else], for you do not have two hearts to manage each of them [to one].
