And He indicated their differences regarding it by His saying: ﴿And We made from them﴾ meaning from His prophets and their scholars by Our greatness, along with what is in human nature of following desires. ﴿Imams guiding﴾ meaning they convey the explanation and act according to it ﴿by Our command﴾ meaning by what We have revealed in it of commands; then He mentioned the reason for making that for them by His saying: ﴿When they were patient﴾ meaning because of their patience and for its sake - according to the reading of Hamzah and Al-Kisai with the kasrah and lightening - or when He made them patient in accepting Our commands according to the reading of the others with the fathah and emphasis, and although patience is also by Allah's granting them success. ﴿And they were certain about Our signs﴾ due to their greatness, ﴿they did not doubt in anything from it nor did they act like the doubters in turning away from it. And that was [for them] a nature We created them upon.
