Commentary

And when the knowledge of what belongs to one of the two parties motivates the question about what belongs to the other party, and the answer to the question about that is among the most complete of wisdom, the Exalted One began His saying, confirming for the sake of denying the disbelievers: "Indeed, those who have believed" have brought forth belief, "and have done" meaning in affirmation of it, "righteous deeds" placing things in their proper place, acting by wisdom. "For them are gardens" meaning orchards, "of bliss". So He, glorified and exalted is He, indicated by adding it to Himself that there is no impurity in it at all, nor anything other than bliss.
