And when this surah clarified the ways of faith in the clearest manner, and cast upon the faces of the people of tyranny the utmost disgrace and humiliation, the estimation was: We have indeed brought in this surah specifically, after the generality of what is in the rest of the Qur'an, every proof that cannot be matched by anything else. We left no one with an excuse nor anything ambiguous, because it has no example in its clarity. He then turned the speech to the position of greatness, denouncing their opposition to what has come before it and warning them against taking it, affirming that they deny that there is any indication in the Qur'an. And whoever among them acknowledges it while being a disbeliever, his disbelief stands in the place of denial: "And certainly We have struck."

And when the concern for the people in it was greater, He said: "For the people," thus placing them first in mention: "In this Qur'an," meaning the entirety of this surah and others: "of every example," meaning a strange meaning that is clearer and more established than the signs of the mountains, in a phrase that is more elegant than other examples.

And when their feelings were sealed, they do not believe in anything. This was one of the most evident proofs of His knowledge and power. He said, swearing to refute their claims in the suggestions, specifically from the people of knowledge and faith, their leader, indicating that the manipulation of hearts is of such greatness that it is beyond description. He expressed it with a condition, informing that He, glorified and exalted is He, is not obligated to anything, adding in a manner: So nothing from that was of benefit to them: "And if you were to bring them," meaning the people in general, "with a sign," meaning a clear indication of your truth that is miraculous, other than what you brought them of what they proposed and promised to believe in, whether visible or audible, "surely those who disbelieved would say," meaning we have judged them as disbelievers with harshness and rudeness, and it indicated their extreme stubbornness with His saying: "If." And when the specification with harshness was more severe on the soul, He included His followers for consolation and to clarify the enormity of their opposition, saying: "You," meaning O you who brings the sign and his followers: "Except those who are false," meaning from the people of divination in falsehood by bringing what has no reality in the form of what has a reality. As for those who believed, they say: We are believers in this sign.
