Commentary
And when it was established that He, glorified and exalted is He, is capable of resurrection just as He was capable of creation, and that there is a state of declaration with the self that is not for others, He said, mentioning the result of what has passed and summarizing it explicitly for the intended purpose and summarizing the evidence: "Allah" [meaning the One who encompasses knowledge and power] "begins creation" meaning what you have seen begins from Him, and He renews at every moment what He wills from that as you witness. "Then He returns it" after He causes it to perish, and He left the emphasis as an indication that He is free of it because it is an accepted matter that whoever created something is certainly capable of returning it.
And when the recompense is a terrifying matter, He indicated it with a tool of delay and said: "Then to Him" [meaning] not to others "you will be returned" meaning in all your affairs in this world, even if you attribute them to causes due to the shortness of vision, and in reality after the Day of Resurrection. And the reading of the group with attention to the address is more eloquent because it is more direct to the intended meaning. And Abu Amr and Abu Bakr read from Asim, and Rawh from Ya'qub with the lower 'ya' in accordance with the previous context.
